250 miles in |
Yesterday we passed through the ancient village of Terradillos
de los Templarios, a former stronghold of Knights Templar. For the past 1,000
years Pilgrims have been marking Terradillos as the half-way point between
St.-Jean-Pied-de-Port and Sanitiago de Compostela.
We’re settled into life on
the Camino.
Every morning we still harbor a sense of apprehension when we
step onto the path, not knowing what challenge will be around the bend or what
storm is brewing ahead. But as the kilometers click by we drift into our own
thoughts.

Walking amid the ruins of a
pilgrim hospital....

Often there seem to be no thoughts at all, just a Camino meditation
of observing, listening, and feeling the stones under our feet.
